Micromax Canvas XL2 A109

Micromax Canvas Gold A300 – Micromax Flagship with Powerful Camera

The Canvas Gold is the flag bearer of the Micromax in the elite category of flagship smartphones. Also, it shows Indian ability to design a smartphone under the shadow of the iconic Apple’s Gold iPhone. Since its launch, review websites have generated million of web pages, explaining pros, cons, with details of each and every key component. I can summarize my review in just one sentence that indeed it is a gold smartphone from the Micromax.

A300 Micromax Canvas Gold Review and Full Specifications

The Micromax has succeeded in delivering a decent smartphone, bundled latest hardware, software with quality accessories. The Canvas gold has a flat body, available in Black Gold and White Gold colour combination. The majority of Buyers has given a thumb up to the white gold over the black gold smartphone. The canvas white gold looks classier and comes close to the Gold iPhone.

It runs on the latest Android Kitkat and owns MediaTek Octa core processor, accompanied by a 2 GB RAM for processing. Octa Core processor gives solid kick and strength during Multitasking and gaming. Though the hardware gets heat up after five to six hours of regular usage, but the performance remains smooth without any lag or application delay. It takes two SIM cards – one in Indian size and another is mini SIM.

There are some complaints related to network fault and locked connectivity. However, the same has addressed in a recent patch update from Micromax. If you find any such issue, check for the software update option in setting section.

A device is capable of playing FHD video on a 5.5 inches display which got 16 millions colour productions in 441 ppi pixel density. I don’t think you want more than this in 19K budget.

It packs a 2600 mAh battery, which gives nine days of standby on the 2G network. Under a genuine test, after eight hours of nonstop multimedia and multitasking, we were left with 17% battery balance. No doubt, the device owns a real power bank.

The A300 offers a 16 MP rear camera with DUAL LED and 4X digital zoom while there is a 5 MP front facing camera for HQ Selfie. Both camera comes with FHD video recording support. The primary camera is dressed up with Sony Image Sensor for heightening HDR recording.

After suspending OS installation and stock application uses, a user left with approx 26 GB free memory of out of 32 GB on board. Unusual, but true, user gets option to eliminate stock application.

The device’s user interface is pretty normal, similar to any other stock android smartphone. However, the big screen makes a significant improvement in broadening the keypad, resulted in easy typing.

XOLO Q2000L – The Big Screen Smartphone with Smart Design

If I have to explain the Q2000L in one sentence, I would summarize it as a big screen mobile phone with a below average specification. Indian Smart phone brands are accused of overstating specifications to earn buyers interest. Rather than going by the specifications, I decided to have more attention on the real user’s experience. If I am allowed to go by the buyer’s response, the Q2000L has decent performance and serves a purpose without registering issues.

The Micromax’s XL2 gets kick from a MediaTek Quad core processor, clocked at 1.2GHz besides 1GB RAM and a 2500 mAh power bank. User should thank Micromax for 1 GB RAM, but I would like to acknowledge the strong battery. We can’t forget 5 MP poor camera I mean primary camera on board with 0.3 MP aka VGA camera for selfie.
