If you are planning to invest in a brand new smartphone, my advice is to buy a metal body 4G smartphone. This article presents you some reliable 4G phones, not essentially metal body rather the best ones in the price range of 9000 to 23000 rupees.
LeEco Le Max2 (4G LTE)
History says when a budget smartphone try to tap the premium segment of market, it measurably fails. Only Samsung and OnePlus have been able to keep one foot in budget and another in premium segment. In India, smartphones below 20000 rupees are considered as budget mobile phones. Apparently, one more name expected to join Samsung and OnePlus. LeEco with its newly launched flagship the Max2, priced 23000 rupees, have been getting good ratings from consumers as well as critics. I think this puts LeEco miles than the competitors like Huawei and Coolpad.
The Max2 consists of 5.7inch IPS 2K display wherein 95% is NTSC color gamut and brightness 450nits – making it incredibly bright among all the budget devices. For multitasking and gaming, the flagship processor Snapdragon 820 with 4/6GB RAM resides in its CPU. This is also a dual SIM device and compatible with SIM cards of all major LTE networks currently operating in the Indian market.
In terms of performance, 21MP primary on this flagship device is not less than a DSLR camera. Dual Tone LED flash, 6P Lens, and Sony IMX230 sensor are sufficient to authenticate my claim.
Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 3200 mAh battery, infrared sensor, Dolby Atmos audio, and USB-type C port are major among other innovative features on this powerhouse. Read more about LeEco Max2 at Premium Stylish Smartphones in 22000 to 32000 Rupees.
Asus Zenfone 3
Although it is hard to say how popular this Asus flagship has been among elite customers but photographs shared by Asus India on Twitter shows many popular Indian cinema & TV celebrities bought this phone and even endorsed it by sharing selfie with the sales box. I trust their endorsement because even GS team has endorsed this as an all-rounder performer, and a must buy if the budget is 22000 Rupees. I am also a customer of Asus so I trust this brand for a reliable and durable hardware.
In a quick snippet of the specifications of the Zenfone 3, I will include 5.5inch full HD IPS display, Octa-core snapdragon processor, 3/4GB RAM, dual SIM, 16MP+8MP camera, Indian 4G LTE support, and 3000 mAH battery. More about the Zenfone 3 is available at Asus Multitasking Metal Flagship Smartphone below 22000 Rupees.
Motorola Moto G4 Plus
In 13500 rupees, the Moto G4 Plus comes with many good features. Its 5.5inch full HD display bears a reliable corning gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by a snapdragon Octa-core CPU and runs on the latest version of Android OS. Motorola made it available in 3GB and 2GB RAM version. However, on both variants, primary camera 16MP, and selfie 5MP camera remains same. Motorola trusted OmniVision sensor to optimize both cameras for better photography. While the primary shooter can record HD and full HD videos, the front shooter is for taking good quality selfie by using its wide-angle lens.
The phone carries a 3000 mAh battery but this is being compensated by a quick charging feature. Both the SIMs support up to 4G network.
Lenovo Zuk Z1
For Lenovo, its dominating position in laptop market and China base helped a lot in becoming a stabilized reputed smartphone brand today. Right from its first smartphone, Lenovo’s attitude in addressing market trend and customer demand had made me sure that sooner or letter it will get its due share. As smartphone market is one of the most volatile businesses, Lenovo’s success has to be appreciated; failure of Microsoft is evidence.
Let us get down to what Lenovo offers on this exclusive camera smartphone. Besides 5.5inch full HD display, it is highly overpowered for multitasking because of Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz clock-speed. It also comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM. The phone although runs on android operating system but in the popular Cyanogen mode. Based on dual SIM support, it features 4G network support, 13MP Camera with dual LED flash, and 8MP front shooter as well. It is also allowing secure access using its ultra-fast fingerprint sensor.

Lenovo K5 Note
In 13500 rupees, the Lenovo metal body smartphone is another good choice. Call it Vibe K5 Note or just K5 Note, both are same; despite metal build and other good features, it stands behind the Motorola device due to its low-powered CPU. Other features on this phone are ultra bright 5.5inch IPS LCD display, 4G LTE network support, and 3500 mAh battery.
The CPU for multitasking is based on a MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with a MaliT860 550MHz GPU. One can buy this phone with 3GB or 4GB RAM. 32GB memory leaves about 25GB of free space for users, and to expand memory onboard it has a MicroSD slot, too.
At connectivity front, the device is very strong. It has more options than any other brand could offer on their phones. Besides 4G LTE support, its Wi-Fi service supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It also consists of GPS service and latest Bluetooth technology. Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016)
In fact, it was too late when Samsung finally realized that it has given away its dominance in budget smartphone segment to Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Huawei, and LeEco. However, the fact is Samsung despite being knocked out – still, has the massive fan following to reposition itself. The launch of Galaxy J5 and J7 was aimed to reclaim Samsung’s lost territory. It appears though Samsung has got some success by this, which is not so good looking device in my view.
The J5, priced at 13000 rupees has been one of most rated smartphones in last few months. It sports a 5.2inch HD AMOLED screen and is powered by Android Marshmallow OS – here TouchWiz user interface is running on top. Even though its CPU specs look fairly outdated but you can be sure of pretty smooth experience in hardcore gaming and multitasking.
In the camera section, it dons 13MP primary shooter with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens. Samsung J5 was the first smartphone outside Reliance’s umbrella to support Jio 4G network. 3100 mAH battery may sound less but Samsung gets its due credit for optimizing the battery well for close to two days of usages. In my review article, I had not endorsed this Samsung champ because of its outdated look. Still, it is a device for you if you are a Samsung fan. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Rightly called the Apple of the budget smartphone market, Xiaomi, going by today’s trend, launched a 4G metal body smartphone the Note 3 at 12000 rupees. Good thing about this phone is – in terms of performance, it is as good as some premium phones discussed so far. I mean it is very hard to decide should you buy a Xiaomi phone at 12000 rupees or a Lenovo phone at 13500 Rupees.
I really hate Xiaomi’s user interface MIUI 7, which is here runs on top of the latest version of Android operating system. The 5.5 inch IPS display consists of full HD resolution and further optimized for – up to 178-degree viewing angles. Snapdragon 650, a 4G networked supporting chipset exclusively for budget smartphones, coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM ensures the CPU without being exhausted provides lag-free multitasking and gaming.
This is a full metal body dual SIM smartphone, supports Indian LTE network, too. 16MP and 5MP on this come super optimized for better photography and HD recording. Just because of 4000 mAh battery, I fully endorse this Xiaomi phone. Read more about the third edition of the Xiaomi Note series at Smartphones with Powerful Battery Camera under 10000 Rupees.
LeEco Le 2
The way LeEco has swept Indian smartphones market with its successive smartphones is remarkable. So an oblivious question has to be – why Indian manufacturer like Micromax and XOLO are not able to produce devices as good as that of these Chinese manufacturers. Le1 and Le2 both are best-selling budget smartphone in Indian market.
The Le2 consists of a lightweight body, 5.5inch full HD display, 16P+8MP camera, dual SIM, Fingerprint & infrared sensor, 4G LTE support, USB-type C, and 3000 mAh Battery with fast charging. Read more about LeEco L2 at All Metal Body 4G smartphones in 6000 to 12000 Rupees.
Lenovo K4 Note (4G LTE)
Interestingly, in this list, which presents you top ten 4G smartphones, there are three listing from Lenovo. This shows how far Lenovo has come and how aggressive it has been in adapting to changing trends and customer’s interest.
Priced at 11000 Rupees, the K4 Note comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB media storage, and MediaTek Octa-core processor. Lenovo made this phone very well in multimedia management. It consists of dual front speaker, both are enough loud to have a home party by using them in full volume.
If you are looking for a smartphone, which is most equipped for ultra clear audio transmission, consider K4 Note as its three microphone piece is very unique, I have never seen this on any phone so far. In terms of power onboard, Lenovo blessed the device with 3400 mAh battery. This is just a glimpse of what actual specs of this magical device are. Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime
You are limited on budget and still want to have a premium metal build smartphone that has the 4G LTE solution, too. Then I think Xiaomi has to be the brand you need look for. Xiaomi recently upgraded its very popular Redmi S series with a brand new metal unibody phone, the Redmi 3S Prime. It is economically priced and has my dream feature, a mammoth 4100 mAh battery. It supports 4G LTE and its camera segment consists of 13MP primary and 5MP front facing shooter.
Other advanced features on this Xiaomi phone includes its HD IPS display along with Octa core Snapdragon processor and 2/3GB DDR3 RAM. Security with a reliable fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor onboard is making it a highly promised smartphone at 9000 rupees price.
