Tata Swach Electric Ultima RO UV 7 Litre Water Purifier

Kent Supreme Water Purifier with RO and UV Technologies

Courtesy of TV ads, Kent has become really popular in the market. This brand as established itself as a reputable water purifier manufacturer. Since the last month, I have been receiving a lot of requests from the readers to do a review on the Kent Supreme RO+UV Water Purifier. This product is available in the market for an amount of 16,499 rupees, which makes it a premium level water purifier. Read also Kent RO UF Water Purifiers between 12000 to 15000 Rupees.

Great Build Quality: I must admit that Kent has achieved a special skill when it comes to designing the products. All its water purifiers (including this one) look mind blowing and also come with a sturdy build. It does not matter whether you install this purifier on a table or on a wall, it will always enhance the beauty of your house. All the components of this machine are made of food grade materials and are capable of resisting all types of contamination. Moreover, all its parts come secured with O-rings for eliminating leakage problems. However, you are getting a storage tank that can store only 9 liters of water at once, which can be disappointing for many customers.

RO UV and UF Technologies Onboard

The purifier features a double action purification system that takes the help of RO, UV and UF technologies to clean the water. The UF section alone is capable of removing suspended particles and disease-causing bacteria. RO and UV technologies together make the water safe and good smelling. This machine also comes with a TDS controller that makes sure all the essential minerals are retained in the water. Still, you should not use this purifier for cleaning soft water. The purifier can only filter 75 liters of water in a day, which will be manageable for a normal day, but will cause some problem if you decide to host a party at your place.

Kent Supreme RO UV Water Purifier

Although Kent is teasing the high water recovery rate of this machine. However, I am not convinced because it still wastes about 50 per cent of water, which is a lot considering the limited amount of drinkable water on the planet earth. But the good thing is that the water that gets rejected can be used for other purposes.

Smart Onboard Software: Surprisingly, the manufacturer has equipped this purifier with a really innovative alarm system. This system is so smart that it will alert you in case the UV lamp or a filter unit fails. It makes sure that you and your family members do not drink even a single drop of unpurified water. Like all the water purifiers available in this price segment, this purifier also offers fully automatic operation. Moreover, for increasing the durability of the membrane, this purifier frequently removes the salt deposits by flushing the system.

Power Efficient Water Purifier

This Kent water purifier consumes really less power and will not increase your electricity bill. Another great thing is it supports a wide voltage input range of 100 – 300 Volts, which makes it resistive to even the strong power fluctuations.

Pro features:-

  • Powerful 11 Watt UV lamp
  • Use of food-grade unbreakable built material
  • Wall mountable
  • Looks really attractive but is not lightweight
  • Power efficient
  • Long membrane life
  • UV and UF technologies
  • Makes water taste good
  • Comes equipped with an impressive alert system
  • Automatic operation

  • Low capacity storage tank
  • Cannon filter more than 75 liters of water in a day

Verdict: I do love some of the features that this purifier comes equipped with. The design of its outer shell is much impressive. You will also love its smart alert system. However, I also believe the brand Kent should offer some discount as the price tag of this water purifier is really high. Do not miss GS recommendation Kent RO UF Water Purifier under 15000 Rupees.

Tata Swach Electric Ultima RO+UV 7-Litre Water Purifier

When Tata joined the purifier market, I was in college. However, I do remember everyone talking about the affordable water purifiers that were launched by this brand back then. For some time, it was thought that Tata will restrict itself in the budget segment and will never dare to touch the premium chunk of the market. But as it turns out, the brand has launched a number of purifiers in its premium lineup.

The Tata Swach Electric Ultima water purifier belongs to a premium series and costs whopping 15072 rupees. The features that the brand teases this product with really impressed my team. So, we decided to have an in-depth review to see if it is really a worthy solution or a failed attempt from the brand TATA Swach.

Ultra-modern Looks: The sleek body makes this water purifier appealing to the eyes. After installation, it will feel like a part of the wall itself and not like some huge bucket hanging on bulky brackets. Tata has also taken a good care of user-friendliness of this product. The button at the top lets the users uncover the hood easily. The tap unit at the bottom sports a modern design and is also easy to use. Unfortunately, this purifier comes with a really small 7-liter water storage tank, which will create a big problem in a large family. Also, the storage tank is not transparent, so you cannot see how much water is left in the tank.

Made For Cleaning Hard Water: This Tata Swach water purifier forces the water through its 6 unique purification sections. The first three purification stages remove suspended particles from water and make it smell good. The water then passes through the RO membrane that removes dissolved harmful chemicals.

After the RO stage, it is time for the Silver Action technology to do its job. These days, silver ions are used in many types of kitchen appliances to kill bacteria and make the edibles contamination free. The purpose of Silver Action technology is somewhat similar here. The water now moves to the UV chamber that kills the bacteria by ripping their DNA apart. These stages turn any type of hard water into potable drinking water, which is absolutely safe for drinking and cooking purposes.

Safe and Secure TATA Purifier

Tata has used food grade materials in the making of this water purifier. Therefore, you will not get any health hazard even used water that has been stored for many hours in the storage tank. This product is also durable and will be your companion for years to come. Another impressive thing is it comes with a voltage spike guard that eliminates the chances of any type of damage resulting from power fluctuations.

Built-in Indicator Panel: One of the main highlights of this water purifier is its sleek and stylish Double-i-Care indicator panel. You can easily interact with the various settings through this panel. It also acts as an alarm system to inform the user of various maintenance needs.

  • Silver Action Technology kills bacteria and acts as an extra layer of protection
  • Stylish, durable and easy to operate
  • Comes with an interface panel
  • High powered 11 Watt UV lamp
  • Supports wide voltage input range
  • Food grade materials have been used in the making
  • 6 stage purification system
  • Auto Flushing System to enhance the life of RO membrane

  • Maintenance cost can be high
  • Only 6 months of warranty
  • Low capacity storage tank
  • Weighs a lot
  • UV chamber is position vertically

Verdict: In my opinion, Tata has done a remarkable job by making this product. Even though the purifier belongs to their premium series product lineup but it is still available at much lower price than other premium series water filters. However, if your house depends on a corporation water connection, then do restrict yourself from buying this water purifier machine. Read also TATA Non Electric Water Purifier Below 3000 Rupees.
