Spice Power 5765 with 2800 mAh Battery Below 1500 Rupees

Spice Feature Phones

In India, we have three categories of mobile phone brand. The first category includes brand like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava and XOLO. The second category features brand such as Spice, Intex, and Celkon. And, the last category lists all those newly born or distributor turn cell phone brands.

Indian brand Spice has added a new champ in its power series. With high emphasis on the longer battery power, the Spice power is a feature phone series, which lists authenticate and assured battery boosted phones.

Spice Power 5765 Review and Specifications

The power 5765 is a feature phone wears a regular design wherein screen, keypad and control buttons predominant. It is exclusively available at India’s biggest e-retailer Flipkart. In this review article, we will have a deep look at this cellphone and our goal is to give you a real verdict.

Price: Spice has priced the power 5765 with an affordable budget friendly MRP of 1500 rupees. At this price, it packs some regular feature in premium quality. Read also Are you looking for a Triple SIM Mobile Phone Online?

Frequency and Network Browsing

It is a dual SIM smartphone and supports regular SIM size. The Power 5765 operating frequency support stats from 900 MHz, includes 1800 MHz finishes at 1900 MHz. For internet browsing, GPRS feature is enabled. The GPRS setup is automated so; the end user does not need head holding to configure custom setting to work with your current network operator. We had tested with Airtel, Tata Docomo and Aircel. Speed on the Airtel network was much better than the rest of two service provider.

Calling Quality: In terms of calling quality, it is almost near perfect. We did not experience any call drop or low tower connectivity. We tested with two Airtel SIM cards wherein the first SIM card was in Lumia 535 and the second SIM card in the Power 5765. Both had the same count of tower symbols. Yes, we cannot compare with Lumia 535 because the 535 is a smartphone, 3G enabled and a master piece from Microsoft lab.

Display: The display is as usual 2.8 inches with TFT screen wherein pixel density is limited at 167 PPI. It will be unfair to comment on brightness or viewing angle as we are looking at a feature phone with true multimedia value. Although display quality seems good and pixels are nicely omitted so that text and images look close to real.

Camera: 1.3 MP primary camera is also good. You can take some of good shots in natural light. Image quality will be much better than other phone available in this category. As a complement to the rear camera, Spice has added a digital zoom. In my observation, Spice could have done better with this digital ZOOM. The moment you ZOOM up the object, pixelation appears and makes photography experience hell.

Massive 2800 mAh Battery

We have selected the Power 5765 for special review because of 2800 mAh battery power. In the absence of 3G connectivity feature, the cell phone offers 35 days of standby and 10 hours of talk time. These are the official confirmation.

I usually make 30 to 40 minutes of daily call. In this case, with the Power 5765, I would be getting around 12 to 14 days of usages on one 100% recharge. Hold on, this is the backup user will get if your usages are limited to just calling. Since it is an authentic gadget for better multimedia experience, obviously user will spend some of battery power for music playback and to tune local live FM.

In our observation, if a user listens to FM around 3 hours and makes approx 20 minutes of call, then on average battery backup will come for two to three days. Read also 3 Multi SIM Mobile Phones in India from Samsung, Nokia and Lava.

Memory: Although the Power 5765 supports 16 GB SD card but you cannot insert more than 8 GB card. We had tested with 16 GB microSD card; it was frequently hanging on keyed instructions. Therefore, the max size of an inserted microSD should not be more than 8GB.

Connectivity: You can connect this phone with your desktop or laptop via a USB port. It features a Micro USB port for mass storage sync. Also, Bluetooth feature is present for device to device connectivity.

Multimedia: My favorite feature is FM recording. You can record unlimited FM session upto the limit of your SD card. And, replay the file as and when you want.

Processor Power and RAM

To make user experience better, Spice has added a single core processor, which is accompanied by 1 MB RAM. In my opinion, this is a joke. You cannot do anything in 1 MB RAM. At least 128 MB RAM is needed to perform some unique task. In terms of gaming, you can only play the inbuilt games. The Power 5765 runs on the Proprietary v1 operating system.

Warranty and Return Policy: Spice does not offer exchange and refund policy. Therefore, if you have a malfunctioned piece in hand, you have to rely on the horrible response of a Spice service center. I would suggest buying online and getting the benefit of 10 days easy return policy.

Verdict: This is a good phone with all need feature. The power 5765 is built around the concept of excellent battery backup. Multimedia features are usual and solid. It is a worthy feature phone at a selling price of 1500 rupees. Read also 4 Low Cost Stylish Mobile Phone with Huge Screen and Lots of Features.
