Bose CineMate 15 Home Theater Speaker System
The next product I am now going to discuss became available in India just a few months ago. At Amazon India, which is the official retailer of Bose products, the sound system has earned many appreciations from Indian customers.
This is a premium audio solution designed to give premium experience much like a Dolby digital sound system equipped cinema hall. The price of 50513 rupees confirms the speaker is only for high-class users.
Arrange a musical party at home since it is fully capable of giving you a theatre like experience. Oh, wait! I almost forgot to tell you its name. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, here I present one of the best audio production devices on the planet earth, the Bose CineMate 15 Home Theater Speaker System.
A Simple Setup
Most of the home theater speakers currently available in the market come with a bunch of wires and require the users to have a technical expertise to do the connection. Surprisingly, this speaker system only needs a single connection to your TV. Even the speaker setup way is simpler than any other alternative, which you can think of buying.
There are just two units, the main speaker module/sound bar, and the acoustimass module. The main module sports a compact design and takes up a little space. In fact, it is so small that you can just place it alongside your DVD player or TV set top box. Moreover, Place the acoustimass module anywhere in a room, connect it through a single wire to the main unit and hide that easily.
Today’s Televisions are much more than just a platform for watching news and serials. These days, most of us buying smart TV, which is for playing games, streaming online contents, watching on-demand videos as well as doing video conferencing besides TV shows. Sure thing, you need a different type of hardware to actually enjoy these kinds of services. However, with every new device you get a new remote, which is a big problem. Suppose you have connected a TV with two external devices, in that case, you will have three different remotes. This makes everything messy and unmanageable. Luckily, Bose ships a rather innovative universal remote with this speaker system that supports a number of devices.
Unparalleled Audio Quality
Bose is a reputed German brand. Therefore, do not expect anything fraud from it. I have said so because the product under review comes true with its name. Bose CineMate 15 speaker actually gives a theatre like experience at the home.
The main speaker module contains four power driver units that produce loud and clear audio. Its main circuitry is capable of dividing the audio into different channels according to layers. The Acoustimass module generates vibrations, which make users feel like they are actually in the scene. You will hear every single frequency without any kind of distortion at all volume levels. Surely, there is a reason why most of the theatres and studios use sound systems made by Bose. This brand is really on top of the world when it comes to audio quality.
Decent Connectivity Options
This Bose speaker system is compatible with all types of inputs. The sound bar features three ports -Optical In, Coax In, and L-R In. Unfortunately, it does not come equipped with modern technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which means you will not be able to stream music wirelessly on this device.
- Compact design of the sound bar
- 4 driver unit for producing loud and clear audio
- You also get a universal remote
- Simple and minimalistic setup
- Immersive sound quality
- Optical In port for high-quality audio transmission
- Multi-channel audio support
- Wide frequency response range
- Also comes with an Acoustimass module
- No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity
- Does not feature a display panel
As far as I am concerned, this speaker system is quite impressive. The audio that it produces is immersive and distortion free. The most exceptional fact is Bose was able to fit this great device in a much small outer shell, which is easily movable and can be set up at a preferred location without much hassle.
|Dimenions||3.25 x 12 x 2.75 inches (Soundbar) And 14.5 x 8.8 x 19.1 (Acoustimass Module)|

Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System
In the search of a premium desktop speaker, if money is not an issue, then the Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System is one right choice to go for. With a price tag of 19103 rupees, this product offers excellent build quality and exciting sound production.
Before I proceed for the complete review let me inform you in advance, the multimedia speaker is a high-quality sound system suitable for all kinds of audio. Connect and enjoy natural distortion-free sound on this Bose speaker from a computer, laptop, iPod, Headphone, TV, FM player or any other sound production devices. My favorite and easiest way to connect it with an audio player is the use of 3.5 mm audio jack.
In my opinion, you cannot get better than this speaker model in terms of design and built quality. It features a metallic mesh on the front that does not allow dirt to pass through and keeps the driver unit safe. The sides feature a glossy aluminum finish render a harmonious look to the outer shell. Both the speaker units are quite heavy and it can be difficult for you to hold them with a single hand. This product does feel solid and the use of metal gives it an extended life.
The best thing about this speaker system is that it comes with a control pod that can be put anywhere on your desktop table. Its cord is long and highly flexible. The pod itself is made of high-quality materials. At the top, it features a capacitive touch panel that sends the speaker commands to power off or on when the user taps. There is also a rotating rim on the edge use to change the volume. That is not all just below the rotating rim are two connectivity ports, one for Headphone Out and another for Audio In. The bottom of the control pod covers with a special kind of sticky material for providing a firm hold on the surface of a desk.
Limited Connectivity Options
You will not be able to connect this speaker wirelessly to a desktop or a laptop since it does not feature Bluetooth connectivity. The panel at the back of the right satellite speaker offers just a few analogous ports. However, if a wireless connection is a necessary thing, then you always have the option to purchase an additional Bluetooth adapter that Bose sells.
Generates Decent Quality Audio
Because of a high price tag, brand name and built quality music industry professionals might consider this product. Therefore, I would like to inform the users that the speaker is not suitable for a sound recording studio.
Bose Companion 20 produces loud (for a room) and natural sound and it is just a finest replacement for your old desktop speaker. The audio that is produced is not enough loud to give users a studio-grade experience. However, the quality of sound has certainly impressed me. At the back of both speaker units, Bose has featured Bass ports that do increase the frequency response range. The driver units are quite big, so you will not hear major audio distortions even when the music is played at high volumes.
- Solid build quality, looks really attractive
- The dock offers an easy access to the controls
- Bass levels are pretty impressive
- TrueSpace stereo digital processing circuitry
- No audio distortion at high volumes
- Inbuilt audio leveler
- The driver units are magnetically shielded
- No microSD card slot
- Lacks Bluetooth connectivity
- Low volume audio
Although this product lags behind on the front of audio quality but I do appreciate Bose’s effort of making it user-friendly. The concept of control dock is quite innovative as it brings all the controls closer to the users. Use of metal in the outer shell does make speaker units heavy but also provides durability. The magnetic shield stops all types of EMR interference from outside and offers uninterrupted sound production. Bose also has a good history of improving old products, so I am hoping that it will address the cons that we have discussed here in the future versions.
|Dimenions||8.66 3.54 x 4.72 inches (Each Speaker Unit)|
|Connectivity||Headphone Out, PC-in And Aux-In|
