Best Multifunction Printer under 10000 Rupees in India

Small offices and start-ups always have a budget problem and, in this situation, having an inefficient printer can increase office expenses. Therefore, while selecting a multifunction printer, do consider printer technology, refill cost, and brand reputation.

Printers from brands like HP and Canon are great for achieving the best possible print quality, but in terms of cost efficiency, their products are placed at the bottom of the chart. On the other hand, Printers of famous brands like Epson, Brother, Ricoh are qualified in printing at a cheap rate, but may not give the best print quality.

Ricoh is the most underrated brand when it comes to printers. Even after selling great products, this company has failed to catch the eyes of customers.

Are you looking for an innovative, versatile AIO printer? If yes, then this editorial is all well worth glancing out. In this piece, we cover the best multifunction printer from 9000 to 10000 Rupees price range. Here you read about all-in-one printers of top printer brands in India market. Read also Legal Paper Scanner under 7000 Rupees.

► Epson Multifunction Ink-Tank Printer {EcoTank L3110}

The Epson ink-tank printer is one of the top-rated multifunction printers under 10000 Rupees. It is an excellent printer for photocopy centers.

Epson L3110 is a multifunction printer so it can print, copy, and scan. It can print in color as well as in black & white. It is not an ideal printer for photo printing, though. Of course, this printer can print photos, but Its print quality does not make it a perfect photo printer. Epson does not promote it as a photo printer, either.

Epson L3110 Ink-Tank Multifunction Printer

Consider one of these printers if you are looking for an ink-tank printer for photo printing: Canon G2012, Canon G3000, Canon G3012, and Epson L805. Epson L3110 printer usages 357 nozzles whereas the suggested Canon printers have more than 1400 nozzles in their print head to drop ink on paper. This will comparison will give a fair idea of print quality.

Other cons of this Epson ink tank printer are its cheap plastic build, manual duplex, no wireless printing support. It cannot scan legal size paper, either. Then why it is reviewed in this article which covers the best multifunction printers under 10000 Rupees?

Per page print cost on cartridge-based printers, irrespective of brands is 1.5 to 10 rupees for laser, color, and photo printouts. However, on Epson L3110 ink-tank printer, the same is below 50 Paise. Epson brand provides 4 ink-bottles with this multifunction printer. Those bottles will last up to 3000 to 4000 prints easily.

Thus, it wouldn’t wrong to say that the Epson EcoTank 3110 is the best multifunction printer for business use from 9000 to 10000 Rupees range. Go for it!

► Canon Multifunction Ink-Tank Color Printer {G2012}

Following the success of Epson brand in the ink tank printer segment, this year Canon and HP have launched their ink tank printers at every price point almost. Undoubtedly Epson is the best brand for ink tank printers in India market currently. However, Epson ink tank printers are most business friendly as they lack smart features, which are must be in office and home use printers.

If you need a fast ink tank multifunction printer, select one from Epson printers. The newest variants of Epson ink tank printers can print at 30 pages per minute whereas ink tank printers of Canon and HP struggle to hit even 10 pages per minute. That is why I say Epson printers are the best choice for business use.

Canon Pixma G2012 Multifunction Printer with Ink Tank System

Is Canon G2012 a perfect photo printer? Canon G2012 model is an excellent multifunction printer. It is, in fact, one of the best printers under 10000 Rupees in the market currently. However, I would not recommend it for business use. I would not recommend it for photo card printing, either. If you are looking for a multifunction printer to use at a small photocopy center in a small town, then go for it. Ideally, Canon Pixma G2012 is a perfect printer for small office and home use.

If you need a dedicated ink tank photo printer, Epson L805 is the right option. At present, it is only ink-tank photo printer in India market. A dedicated ink-tank photo printer from the house of Canon is still awaited.

Should you buy this Canon printer? The Canon Pixma multifunction printer in 10000 Rupees is an over-priced model. It lacks smart features and wireless connectivity option. Still I recommend it because Canon maintains its lead in ensuring best print quality even in the ink tank printer segment. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of color printouts by this Canon printer.

Moreover, Canon provides two extra ink bottles for black color (each black ink bottle can print up to 7000 pages). Therefore, Canon G2012 printer is the best deal in 10000 Rupees (not the best printer). Epson L361 is still the best printer in 9000 to 10000 Rupees price range.

► HP 410 Multifunction Wireless Ink-Tank Printer

For a medium-sized office, a multifunction printer is a prerequisite for efficiency and productivity. Having a printer that can copy, scan, and print all at the same time is a huge step forward towards achieving your goals as a company.

However, when buying these kinds of devices, going for the cheapest multifunction laser printer on the market is not always advisable. This is simply because cheap always implies a lack of efficiency and durability. Nevertheless, you can always settle for a reasonably priced, high-quality multifunction printer, like the HP 410 Multi-function Ink Tank Printer.

HP 410 Multifunction Wireless Ink Tank Printer in 10000 rs

We had a chance to review this device hands-on. Here are some of the praiseworthy features we found in this printer.

All in one functionality: The HP 410 is an all-in-one Printer meaning that it supports all three basic office operations, copying, scanning, and printing. This Ink Tank printer also supports both plain (black and white) and colored printing. Additionally, this device has a 24-bit flatbed scanner at the top. This scanner makes it the best all in one printer for home use in India at this price range. We actually liked the scanning quality of this device. Most of the times, multifunction centers (MFC) like this one tends to have compromised scanners. Nonetheless, this is not the case with the HP 410.

Standard printing speed: Notably, if you are looking for the best printer for the money, then the HP410 stands to be the best choice for you. This printer might not be exactly cheap, but its proficiency is matchless. To start with, the HP410 can print up to 8 Pages per minute for Black & White printing and up to about 5 pages per minute for colored printing. Although there are faster printers, the HP410 stands out because it economizes ink consumption. The average cost per page when using this device comes to 10 Paisa for Black & White and 18 Paisa for Colored printing. This is the recommended output as per ISO standards.

HP built this printer to work with a number of page sizes, which include A6, B5, A4, and DL envelope. Also, this device supports manual Duplex Printing. It has a high colored print resolution of Up to about 4800 by 1200 optimized DPI. For Black and white printing, this HP inkjet all in one printer can print at 1200 by 1200 rendered DPI resolution. The First page out time is about 14 seconds for black and white prints and 18 seconds for colored prints.

Multiple connectivity options: Moreover, this printer has numerous Connectivity options. For instance, it supports printing over Wi-Fi through HP’s Smart app. In addition, you can always plug it into your laptop or computer through USB. Most HP inkjet printer models in this price range don’t have this feature. All the same, the manufacturer has enabled Wi-Fi connectivity in a number of them, including the HP 410.

Sturdy Build and long-hour operation: Finally yet importantly, this printer has a heavy duty build and can print up to 1000 pages per month. This printing capacity makes it ideal both for home use and for heavy office usage. The manufacturer also included 7 LED indicators and one Icon LCD display to make things easier for the users.

► HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer

When it comes to intensive printing schedules a normal Inkjet printer cannot take that entire load and you start looking for a LaserJet solution. The HP LaserJet M1136 is a multifunction printer and can be an affordable solution if you have a price barrier. This heavy duty printer is so compact and easy to use – you could also transport it easily to your home and use it. It is currently available for the price of 10,999 at online retailers.

Design: HP has tried the best to make this printer compact and it seems its hard work has not gone wasted. The printer is just 7 KG in weight and does not occupy much space.

Printing: The laser printing technology enables this printer for printing 18 pages per minute, but the first page takes 8 seconds to come out. As it uses a monochromatic toner instead of ink cartridges so you can expect some money saving also. However, the maximum supported paper size of A4 limits the usability.

HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer

Scanning: This printer can scan documents at 1200 dpi, but the lack in document feeder and a scanning duplexer over the scanner glass may prove to be little irritating. But users do get smart capability to send the scanned documents via e-mail without needing a computer.

Copying: The HP LaserJet Pro M1136 multifunction printer has the capability to copy up to 18 pages per minute, but again missing technology ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) brings down this number. Both text and graphic copies can have maximum resolution of 600 X 400 dpi.

Paper Handling: The input tray can hold up to 150 sheets whereas the output tray has the capacity of 100 pages only. Paper guides on the input tray help to easily place sheets of size below A4.

Connectivity Options: This printer lags much behind on the connectivity front. You only get a USB port to connect it from your devices. Wireless connectivity has become a must these days and lack of this feature will really affect customer’s interest in this printer.

Other features: The HP Smart Install feature lets a user install this printer without a CD. Features like Auto Shut on/off and instant on make this printer highly energy efficient.

Pros:-

  • Multi-function. Can copy, scan and print.
  • Capability to print 18 pages per minute.
  • High-speed USB port.
  • Highly energy efficient.
  • Scan to email function.

Cons:-

  • No ADF
  • Wireless connectivity options are absent
  • Sheets greater than A4 size are not supported
  • It is a monochromatic printer meaning you can’t print colored pages

Verdict: It is a great printer for those looking for an affordable solution. Small office with not much printing load will have no problem using this printer. However, if your office or home always has a busy schedule with a lot of printing demand then this printer is not for you.

I really do not like the fact that it is devoid of any wireless connectivity option. You can’t even connect this printer to a wireless or network connection so you are limited to use only one computer system with this printer.

► Canon ImageClass MF3010 Laser Printer

Canon is the only brand that has managed to give a tough competition to HP printers. It’s ImageClass MF 3010 Laser Printer has become a renowned product in the budget customers. Its features and affordability of 10,400 INR makes it best suited for homes and offices. However, it has some drawbacks also that we will discuss in this review.

Design: This multifunction printer will certainly catch your eyes with its compact and premium design. It will look appealing and attractive on your desk. You wouldn’t need to even clear much of your work space to make a place for this machine. Its weight of 8.2 KG makes it easy for the user to move it from one place to another.

Printing: The printer takes 7.8 seconds to heat up and print the first page of A4 size after which you will get printing speed of 18 pages per minute. Some might get a little disappointed with its maximum print resolution of 600 X 600 dpi. It is a monochrome laser printer so the usability will also get limited.

Canon ImageClass MF 3010

Scanning: The built-in scanner glass scans documents with a color depth of 24 bits and resolution of 600 X 600 dpi. The enhanced mode boosts the resolution to 9600 X 9600 dpi, but you will have to understand that it is just a trick that happens in the processing part. Also, you can’t scan documents with size greater than A4.

Copying: Warm up time to make a first copy is 10 seconds for an A4 size paper. Low zooming range 50 to 200 per cent can create problem for many. However, the resolution of 600 X 600 is something that can be appreciated.

Paper Handling: You can load up to 150 A4 size sheets in the input tray whereas the output tray as the capacity to hold about 100 sheets. A latch on the output tray helps the sheets form falling down. You will have to make sure that you put the sheets in the faced down position.

Connectivity: The Canon laser multifunction printer is limited to USB 2.0 only. You don’t get any wireless or Ethernet option. So, this printer is not meant for the people who want to print documents wirelessly from their laptops and smartphones.

Other Features: The toner cartridge has a life cycle of printing 1600 pages. High power consumption of 960 Watts might make you not buy this printer.

Pros:-

  • Solid and cool design makes this printer much attractive
  • Printing speed of 18 pages per minute
  • Can also do scanning and copying. Takes only 10 seconds to make the first copy

Cons:-

  • Low print resolution of 600 X 600 dpi
  • High power consumption
  • No Wireless connectivity options

Verdict: It is a good printer for offices that have low intense printing tasks. Great design with compact body makes this printer suitable for home uses also. However, you will have to consider the drawbacks before making a purchase. It is in no way an energy efficient product and the print quality is not that great also.

hi, is canon 6030W a capable machine? We require black and white prints but are preferring this over canon 2900b due to the wireless feature. Please advise.

Amar Kumar

Sir, why do you prefer a laser printer from Canon? Brother is the best brand for laser printers in India market. You could buy Brother HL-L2351DW @ 10990 Rupees. This high-speed printer comes with Auto Duplex and Wireless Printing feature.

Canon printers are favorite for high-quality printing. For that, they burn cartridge/toner very quickly. Comparatively, per page print cost is very high on Canon printers.

kumar

i need printer for ecommerces busines suggest me good one little bit confuse in searching printer

Amar Kumar

Sir, you should buy an ink-Tank printer. I suggest Canon G2012.

Aanan

Thanks bro for your help. I bought your suggested printer and I’m very satisfied with it so far.
Someone asked me for advice regarding Epson L565. He hasn’t told me any details regarding usage and all. He says he just wants to know whether he go for it or not along with some pros and cons. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

P S: I suggested him my printer L605 but he said it would be out of his budget.

Amar Kumar

Hi Aanan, I haven’t seen the printer machine so can’t say much about it

Soumyendu Mukhopadhyay

you said, in case of ink tank printer the cost can be as low as 5 paise for laser(means monochromatic?).I want to buy an Ink Tank printer immediately with lower electricity consumption. Also need to know that what will be the refill cost, refill charges.Among all the models you discussed choose one for a budget of 10K, I need only monochromatic use.Regards,

Amar Kumar

Hi Soumyendu,

I suggest the following printers

→ Single Function Laser Printer Brother HL-L2321D
Toner Based Printer
Print more than 2000 pages per refill

Epson L361 Ink Tank Color Printer
Comes with 4 Ink bottles in the sales box
Print 4500 in Black & White & 7500 Pages in Color
According to the brand Cost per page – 7 Paisa (Black & White), 18 Paisa (Color)
A set of four inkbottles cost would be anything between 1100 to 1500 Rupees

→ Samsung single function laser printer M2021
Toner Based Printer
As claimed by the brand print cost 25 Paisa per Page

Aanan

Sir I need a printer with lower operational costs with scan copy and fax feature. My usage is uneven from 500 – 1200.

Amar Kumar

Hi Aanan, you have not mentioned your budget for a new printer. So I am guessing your budget is anything between 5000 to 10000 Rupees. Here are two of my favorite printers for you.

→ HP DeskJet 4729 AIO Wireless Color Printer @ 8000 Rupees
Duty Cycle 1000 Pages
Comes with HP 46 Cartridge

→ HP 310 Ink Tank AIO Printer @ 10000 Rupees
Advanced Ink Tank Printer

Aanan

Thanks for your assistance and sorry for incomplete info. My print usage is around 1000 on an average. My budget is up to 40k but I’d prefer it to be under 20k. Most important thing is lower maintenance and operational costs. Then the printers fax function. I require it to print legal documents as well. If it can scan legal documents then it’d be a plus but this feature is optional. Most of my work is in b/w.

Amar Kumar

Hi Shyamal,

HP LaserJet Pro M1136 could be the best option for your office requirement. However, I would suggest you — consider an Ink-Tank printer. Go through the comments on the page – enough information has been provided to give you clarity in deciding one capable printer for your office use.

Sheetal

Sheetal

Thank you so much for your reply, I have some queries , can u please help on the same .

1. Difference between ink tank and LaserJet printers??
2. What is your opinion on canon image class MF 244dw printer??
3. What would be the refill option for the above printer , I mean every time I have to spend 3-4 k for cartridges??

Amar Kumar

The laser printer is based on the technology to use laser to draw a virtual image and print that on paper using a dry ink toner that sticks over the printing surface. You need to replace ink tonner once in a week or 15 days depending on use. The Ink tank printer, whereas, is based on the concept of using ink bottles instead of a toner cartridge. It has different nozzles for filling original inks in liquid form. In simple terms, Laser printer usages dry tonner for printing whereas ink tank printer usages liquid ink for printing.
