Motorola Moto X2
The Motorola mobility has revamped its flagship smartphone with the launch of the Moto X2. The Moto X was the first flagship smartphone of Motorola after it was re-introduced by the Google. Because of Motorol’s low price strategy, the Moto X had a positive response in India, and became one of the best selling smartphone in recent years. Thanks to Motorola, the Indian middle had entry to the flagship and a premium smartphone segment. Under the Google umbrella, Motorola has been far ahead than its competitor to introduce the latest update in the Android operating system.
Motorola has introduced the aluminium metal frame in the Moto X2. The aluminium body provides durability and robustness, but added extra weight in the overall construction of the device. With 144 gram weight, the X2 is slightly heavier than the Moto X (130 gram).
It features a 5.2 inches FHD screen wherein the pixel density per inch is 423 and colours limit is 16 million. The pixel density is much better than 316 ppi of the Moto X, and lower than Xiaomi Mi3’s 441 ppi. The X2 offers OLED display, produces sharper and dazzling image quality. 5.2 Inches screen seems to be appropriate and easily rest in a young palm. The display is protected by the corning gorilla class 3.
The X2 sports a quad core snapdragon 801 processor with a clock speed of 2.5 GHz, alongside 2 GB RAM. The processor is twice faster than the processing ability of the X. Following custom built of the predecessor, the X2 limits itself with a 16 GB inbuilt user memory and does not offer an external MicroSD card support.
The 13 MP primary camera is capable of shooting 4K video and comes with LED flash and digital ZOOM. For enhancement, it features an image selector, works to pick-up the best snap from multiple shot attracted to the camera lens.
We agree that there is a difference in the quality of the battery, but still the lower ampere battery does make sense in the flagship device. The X2 needs higher ampere battery than the current 2300 mAh. To avoid criticism, Motorola has added a “Turbo charger” in the sales box. According to the Motorola, the Turbo charger will add the extra 8 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.
I consider this an entertainment gadget for its OLED screen with the dual front speaker. It makes sense to name it a mini cinema theatre. The Moto X is expected to hit Indian market with a price tag of 24,999/-. Alike Moto X, G, and E, the Flipkart will do its sales and distribution in India.

Motorola Moto G2
My two family members, five close friends, and nine office colleagues own Moto G. This shows the popularity of the device. Motorola has upgraded the G2 with some latest hardware, software, faster connectivity and added one more sensor. This is an advanced smartphone in affordable budget.
Moto G2 has a five inches HD display that is 0.5 inches bigger than 4.5 inches display of the G. Resolution stays at 720*1280 Pixel. Motorola has compromised in the pixel density as the G2 features 294 ppi lower than 326 ppi of the G. It is protected the Corning Gorilla Class 3.
Quad Core Processor
Alike the Moto G, it runs on a quad core snapdragon processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz, alongside 1 GB RAM and Adreno 305 graphics processing. The G2 has a 2070 mAh battery and supported memory expansion by the use of MicroSD card. Not highly recommended for gaming but all Moto smartphones have the reputation of snappy performance and lag-free multitasking.
Dual SIM Support
Motorola claims to equip it with the new SIM management concept called “intelligent Calling”. In the Android environment, for dual SIM smartphone user has option to define default SIM for 3G video calling, SMS, and voice calling. The intelligent SIM reads user pattern of uses and sets a default SIM.
The Moto G had network connectivity, SIM registration, IMEI registration related issues. Motorola has revamped connectivity with Dual brand Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4 options, faster USB 2.0, and the gyro sensor – to read three axis motions.
It offers 8 MP auto focus primary camera that can record HD 720P with noise free stereo sounds. For 3G video calling and HQ selfie, it has a 2 MP front facing camera. Also, it features a dual speaker, residing below of the screen, which can produce stereo surround sound.
The Moto G2 is available online at Flipkart – the official retailer of Motorola Devices in India. Motorola India has announced that it has sufficient stock and buyer will not face “out of stock” notification. As of today, the G2 has poor response online that can be understood by buyers enthusiasm for Xiaomi ‘s smartphones Mi3 and Redmi S.
