HUL Pureit Ultima RO+UV Water Purifier
You might have seen some TV adverts of the HUL Pureit Ultima Water Purifier. You can purchase it for an amount of 16799 rupees. I know it costs a lot, but in return, you are getting a purifier, which is loaded with top-notch features. This purifier is currently one of the bestselling products in the premium segment of the market.
Strong and Attractive Build
Since it is a top of the line water purifier, Pureit has used the best materials in the built & design. The black finish of its outer shell blows your mind on the very first look. I just cannot describe the beauty of this purifier in few words.
It looks great on a Kitchen wall. If you are curious about the décor of the Kitchen, then choose this purifier model. Its glossy design and shiny black color will enhance the beauty of your kitchen. However, keep in mind the whole setup eats up good amount of space on a kitchen wall. Therefore, select a big room with adequate safety for its perfect installation.
6- Stage Purification: To ensure only 100% cleaned water comes out of the purifier tap, Pureit has installed a 6-stage purification system on this product. Before entering the main unit, water passes through a pre-sediment filter that removes visible particles from it. The Pre-RO carbon filter and post-carbon sediment filter act as a buffer to the main RO chamber and increase its life.
Experts around the world always recommend the reverse osmosis aka RO technology to remove harmful chemicals from hard water. Also, it comes with an UV lamp that kills the bacteria by ripping their DNA apart. However, the manufacturer’s decision to install the UV chamber in vertical position reduces its efficiency greatly. The TDA modulator makes sure that needed minerals are retained in the water.
Smart Indicator: On the front of the purifier, you can find an appealing indicator panel. It not only tells the users about the maintenance needs but also displays the quality of input and output water. A special Guide Alert System keeps an eye on the wires and alerts you on occurrence any fault.
10 Liter Storage Tank
The storage tank of this purifier is made of food grade materials because of which it keeps the water contamination free for long periods. Moreover, the tank stores 10 liters of water at once, which should be good for a medium size family.
- Mind blowing finish of the outer shell
- Neon Flash Belt enhances the beauty of every kitchen
- Informative indicator panel
- Big storage tank
- Can purify up to 12 liters of water in an hour
- Low power consumption
Verdict: This is a perfect purifier for an ideal kitchen. Its 6-stage purification system is capable of cleaning any type of water. Moreover, the TDS modulator adds the necessary minerals back to the water. However, if you have a corporation water connection, then you can go for other affordable options. A simple UF based filter can easily purify soft water.

HUL Pureit Marvella WPNT100 RO + UV 10-Litre Water Purifier
HUL understands a majority of India population belong to the low-income group. No brand in the country can earn profits just by focusing on the premium segment of the market. This is why HUL not only offers purifiers for premium customers but also has a long catalog to attract middle-class people.
The HUL Pureit Marvella WPNT100 Water Purifier, which you can purchase for 14,499 rupees, is an affordable alternative to the Pureit Ultima. On this purifier, the users are getting all the needed features in general expected on a premium & advance water purifier.
Good Purification System
The manufacturer has used the same purification system on the Pureit Marvella, as it was trusted for the Pureit Ultima. The water passes through six stages before ending up in your glass. Reverse osmosis technology makes a difference in the concentration of elements and filters out the harmful chemicals dissolved in water.
The UV chamber helps a lot in killing the bacteria, but its efficiency could have been greater if the manufacturer had installed it in horizontal position
Although I usually do not recommend RO purifiers for cleaning soft water but this device is worthy of an exception. It comes installed with a TDS modulator that adds the needed minerals back to the water. However, the online Indian market is full of other low-cost purifiers if you only want to purify soft water.
Contamination Free Storage Tank: I have to agree, the HUL Pureit Marvella sports an impressive built & design. It is solid and quite attractive. The manufacturer has used food grade materials in the making of its storage tank. Another good thing is the purifier is good for small to medium size families as it can store up to 10 liters of water inside. Moreover, it can purify at least 9-liters of water every hour.
Strong Build: The build quality of this purifier is also not bad. Its outer shell does not suffer from flexing or creaking even if you apply a pressure. I am sure that the body of this product will last for years. It also looks great. The combination of white and blue colors just adds to the ergonomics.
Fully Automatic Operation
One of the main highlights of this Pureit product is it does not require the purification process turn on or off manually. The machine is quite smart and can handle everything on its own. Also, an indicator panel on the front notifies the users in case of any fault.
According to the manufacturer, this purifier needs no maintenance at all, which is a big pro.
Low Power Consumption: The power consumption of this device never exceeds 48 Watts. This means you do not have to worry about the electricity bill. Another good thing is it supports a wide voltage input range of 140 – 240 Volts and can easily resist power fluctuations.
- Attractive design
- Durable outer shell
- Smart indicator panel
- 6 stage purification system
- 10-liter storage tank
- Consumes much less power
Verdict: The people who are looking for a premium quality purifier, but do not have a good budget should go with this HUL device. You do not have to think twice before making the purchase decision. However, do remember one thing, you can get a purifier at much lesser cost if the design and build quality is not on priority.

Livpure Pep Pro Plus Water Purifier
In the year 2012, India’s premier UPS & Inverter Company Luminous had extended its brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar service to its new water purifier brand Livpure. Huge popularity of Sachin Tendulkar, who is one of the greatest cricketers ever was much needed to attract buyers and settle this new purifier brand in the market.
Since the beginning, Livpure has been concentrating more on the premium segment. However, due to stiff competition from successful brands like Pureit and Kent, the brand had failed in securing a popular place in the Indian water purifier market.
However, cash-rich mother company Luminous is not ready to lose the battle yet. Just a few months before, Livpure had introduced a master purifier the Pep Pro Plus, which combines various innovative purifying technologies at one platform.
Important facts about the product would be premium features, latest technology, and durable built without spending big money. Yes, the Livpure purifier with 10000 rupees MRP is one best-selling purifier in the online market.
Durable Body: I agree that Livpure has selected top of the class materials for manufacturing this purifier. Its body is sturdy enough to resist small collisions. However, the product does not look attractive at all. In fact, from the looks, you will conclude that it is some sub 5000-rupee purifier.
The blue finish of the outer shell gives a cheap appeal. To be honest, it appears more like a dustbin than a water purifier does. Another disappointment is that you do not get the option of tabletop installation. You will have to sacrifice a large chunk of the wall. So, unless your kitchen is spacious, do not buy this product.
7-Stage Purification System
According to the manufacturer, the Pep Pro Plus water purifier comes with seven purification cartridges inside. There is a sediment filter to remove suspended particles from the water. The Activated Carbon unit improves the taste and smell of water.
To remove dissolved chemical from water, this purifier depends on reverse osmosis technology. But the catch is this method also removes the needed minerals if the TDS levels of input water is low enough. It sports a high power UV lamp that deactivates all bacteria and viruses in the water.
Therefore, this purifier is only good for high TDS water that generally comes from sources like bore well. However, for the purification of corporation water, I would not recommend the water purifier system.
Low Power Consumption: This Livpure purifier product requires electricity to create pressure in the RO chamber and to turn on the UV lamp. But do not increase your blood pressure by worrying about the power bill as it consumes much less electricity.
Automatic Operation: Fortunately, the manufacturer was kind enough to equip this product with a smart brain. It is capable of managing the water supply on its own. You just have to connect it to a water pipeline. You can also find an indicator panel that displays information such as power status, tank status, and purification process.
Low Capacity Storage Tank
Although this purifier can filter 12 liters of water every hour but the manufacturer does not recommend crossing the limit of purifying just 75 liters of water in a day. The most disappointing of all is the small storage tank that can store only seven liters of water. This makes this purifier unsuitable for a large family.
- Food grade and tough materials have been used in the making
- Comes equipped with RO and UV units
- Inbuilt taste enhancer
- Easy to understand indicator panel
- Consumes less power
- Supports a wide voltage input range
- Inbuilt storage tank can store only 7 liters of water
- Not a good solution for low TDS water
Verdict: You should prefer the Luminous Livpure Pep Pro Plus to purify water with high TDS level. In terms of performance, it is one fine choice below 10000 rupees. However, I am disappointed with the brand for a low capacity storage tank and cheap design & colors.
