24.2 MP Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera with AF-S 18-55mm VR II Kit Lens
Photography enthusiasts with limited budget generally do not have so many options when it comes to buying a camera. Under the 30000 rupees price bracket, the best you could get is a decent quality digital camera with a fixed lens. However, the camera market dynamics shifted when the Nikon D3300 was launched, which led to a significant reduction in the price of the Nikon D3200. At the present moment, this camera is available for a price of 21,915 rupees only. And, every photographer in the world knows that a DSLR camera is always a better option for shooting class-leading images.
Comes With a 24.2 MP Sensor: With this camera, you will be able to capture great details as it comes with a 24.2 MP sensor, which is 23.2 x 15.4 mm in size. No other digital camera in the market today offers such a powerful sensor at this affordable price point. The captured pictures pack vibrant colors with decent highlights. Good low light photography is also possible and users will not notice noise even up to ISO 6400.
In Nikon D3200, there are 11 autofocus points on the sensor that identify and focus the subject in milliseconds.
Trust Expeed 3 Image Processor
The Nikon D3200 was launched in the year 2012. Back then the Expeed 3 Image processor of this camera just blew everyone’s mind. This camera captures images instantly and stores them on the SD card even at a much faster speed. Continuous shooting speed of 4 frames per second might not sound that impressive, but it was a mouthwatering feature just three years ago.
3-inch Display: On this device, you can find a really high-density 3-inch display that packs about 921,000 dots. Live view button located at the right side of the screen allow the user to quickly jump to the shooting mode and see what the camera is going to capture. Perhaps the best thing about DSLRs is that they allow users to see through eyes of the sensor with the help of viewfinder.
IR Remote Compatible: An IR port just adjacent to the hand-grip can be used to trigger the shutter via a remote. However, you will have to point the remote in the direction of camera that can prove to be a little tricky.
This Nikon DSLR can record Full HD Videos
The Nikon D3200 is really an affordable solution for those who want to shoot good quality videos in full HD resolution. It also supports SD cards with storage memory up to 64 GB. For high-quality audio recording, you can also attach an external microphone on the top.
- Optical viewfinder
- Captures images with great level of detail

Verdict: There are a number of good digital cameras available in the market. However, if you are really interested in the professional photography, then there is no better option in this price segment than the Nikon D3200 DSLR. 16.1MP Nikon Coolpix P600 Point-Shoot Camera with 60x Optical Zoom
How can Nikon stay behind when every other brand is already jumping into the bridge camera market? Beginning of the year 2014, Nikon had launched the Coolpix P600 digital camera, which comes with a USP of offering the 60X zoom. This is indeed insane. The Nikon camera also comes with some DSLR-like features that we will discuss in this article.
Small but Powerful Sensor: The Nikon Coolpix P600 bags a small 1/2.3-inch sensor, however, this is not a big concern as it is capable of capturing stunning images. The manufacturer has cleverly limited the pixel count to 16.1 MP to make the sensor more sensitive to light. All the images contain good dynamic range and reproduce every color accurately. The processor of this camera is a little slow, but the good thing is you can still capture up to 7 images every second in the burst mode.
Focus Peaking: Focus on the subject is always a difficult task for photographers. However, because the focus peaking feature in the P600, the user will be able to view the focused subject on the screen itself.
A Nikon Camera with 60x Optical Zoom
You might have heard about some digital cameras offer up to 50x optical zoom. In fact, Nikon has really gone too far on this front extending the ZOOM feature to a new level. The 60x zoom lens will let you capture even the craters on the moon made by asteroids over the course of millions of years. Another great fact is that the zoom controls are located on the left side of the lens because of which the camera remains more or less in the stable position when you zoom on the subject.
Attractive Design: Nikon has used the same bright color strategy on the P600 that it uses on all its DSLRs. The handgrip is covered with a soft-touch rubber that gives a premium feel. Controls can be easily accessed while holding the camera in hand. There is also a function button on the body that can be customized according to the need.
This camera is not suitable for rugged photography since its outer shell is made of low-quality plastic. We have already covered some camera with waterproof photography in the monsoon season. Please do have a look.
270 Degree Articulating Display As Well
You will be able to make selfie videos using this camera as it comes with an articulating display that can be rotated up to 270 degrees. EVF is also provided at the top of the screen.
Decent Quality Video Recording: Many users might be considering this affordable camera for videography and wanted to know my opinion in this regard. A piece of good news is Nikon P600 can record great quality video in full HD resolution. But there is a catch, to capture videos at 60 frames per second, which is considered really a high resolution, this camera uses interlace method instead of progressive.
- Articulating display
- Capable of capturing decent quality images
- 60x zoom
- Easy to operate control panel
- EVF and pop-up flash
- Focus peaking feature
- Cannot capture RAW images
- Uses interlace scan method to record full HD videos at 60 fps
Verdict: After going through all the features, I will recommend this camera only to those people who want a simple to use a camera with great zooming capability. For serious photographers there a number of better options available at this price point.
