Best 5 Laptops between 50000 to 60000 Rupees

Dell Inspiron 5558

While purchasing a laptop, build quality plays a really important role. You would certainly not want to have a laptop that has an outer shell made of cheap materials. This is why we decided to review a product, which is known in the market for its solid build quality.

The Dell Inspiron 558 is considered one of the toughest and sleekest laptops in the mid-range segment. There are various variants of this laptop that are available in the market at different prices. The variant we are discussing here offers 8GB of RAM, Core i5 processor and is available for an amount of 50490 rupees.

Durable Body

Dell has considered durability more than looks while creating the blueprint of this laptop. The tough plastic body that covers this sleek device is made of premium quality materials. There is some flexing around the keypad area, but that will not result in any kind of damage. The textured back panel offers a nice appeal to the eyes. Palm rest area is quite big because of which makes you comfortable while working on this laptop. However, the worst thing about this laptop is that its keypad is not equipped with the backlight, which makes it hard to type in the dark.Dell Inspiron 5558 Review Specifications Price in India

Decent Performance

The 5th Gen Core i5 processor of this laptop is capable of handling all kinds of processes. It clocks at 2.2 GHz, but when the Turbo Boost is activated that number jumps up to 2.7 GHz. Thanks to the NVIDIA GT 920M GPU and 8GB of RAM, which makes gaming and graphic designing flawless on this small machine. On-board 1TB of HDD offers enough storage to store hundreds of games, songs and videos. However, I would have preferred a smaller SSD instead of a bigger HDD.

Amazing Sound Quality

The two speakers are located at the lower front side of this laptop. Because of this position users’ music listening experience gets enhanced. The MaxxAudio technology improves all the frequencies and makes the sound crispier.

Poor Quality Display

The variant that we reviewed features a bigger 15.6-inch display, but its low resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels makes the whole experience undesiring. However, the screen is glossy and does not reflect light.

Pros:

  • Offers decent gaming experience
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • NVIDIA GT 920M GPU
  • 1 TB of storage
  • Tough build
  • Great audio production
  • DVD burner
  • Trackpad supports gestures

Cons:

  • Low pixel density
  • The keypad is not backlit
  • Battery life is not as great as the manufacturer is promising

Verdict

Although this laptop comes with a number of great features but the three cons that I have mentioned in the above lines overshadow everything. If you are a great fan of Dell, then my advice would be to increase the budget and purchase a better variant of this laptop.

Apple MacBook Air

As far as user experience is concerned there is no better option than an Apple MacBook machine. However, Apple MacBook machines, which are available in the market, are priced so high an average Indian customer will have to spend a fortune to buy one. The base model of the 13 inch MacBook Air that was launched early this year is available at the official website of Apple for an amount of 80,900 rupees.

Fortunately, there are many Indian e-commerce websites selling the Apple laptops at much lower price. And, if you are lucky enough, you will be able to grab the MacBook that we are discussing here for as low as 59,000 rupees.

Stunning Design

This MacBook machine model comes wrapped around an aluminum body that provides toughness as well as durability. The tapered design offers a really nice appeal to this device. While using the MacBook Air, you will get a premium and professional feel. Unlike, other brands, Apple tries to give a better experience to the users instead of offering one or two big features to look better on the paper.Apple Macbook Air Review Specifications Price Online in India

Great Performance

Inside this 13-inch MacBook Air is an Intel Core i5 5250 5th Generation processor that clocks at a reputable 1.6 GHz. It also comes with 4GB of RAM that along with the processor offers a decent performance. Moreover, the integrated Intel HD Graphics 6000 GPU is capable of processing graphics at great speeds.

This device might look like a mid-range laptop, but it is actually an entry-level Apple MacBook. So, do not expect its performance to be exceptional. It is just meant for working professionals who do not need a powerful machine always.

OS X El Capitan

This MacBook runs OS C El Capitan out of the box that offers a great user experience. The whole interface is as smooth as it can be. However, the only downside of running a Mac machine is that you will not be able to play a lot of games on it.

Bad Display

The MacBook Air that we are discussing here sports a 13-inch display that offers a resolution of 1440 X 900 pixels. Pixel density is decent, but not as good as other laptops are offering in the same price segment. If you were looking for a retina display, then you will be disappointed as Apple’s signature technology is offered only in highly priced MacBook machines. In fact, this is not even an IPS panel, so the viewing angles are really bad.

Pros:

  • Exceptional design
  • Good performance
  • Intel HD Graphics 6000 GPU
  • Great user experience
  • One thunderbolt and two USB 3.0 ports
  • 128 GB SSD

Cons:

  • Bad viewing angles

Verdict

This Apple MacBook model is only for those professionals who want a machine with great user experience and flexibility. I am sure you will like this device for an elegant look and Apple’s craftsmanship. However, as far as specific components are concerned, there are better alternatives available in the market.

Acer E5-573g

If you want a laptop that looks great on the specification sheet, then the brand Acer should be your final destination. The laptop that this brand sells comes with features that no other brands even dare to offer at such low price point. For just 58,800 rupees price tag, the Acer E5-573g laptop features Intel’s Core i7 processor, which is better known for top gear performance. This is the reason that we decided to include this device in the list of top five premium laptops.Acer E5 573g Price Online in India

Gigabit Ethernet

This Acer laptop 573G is great for playing online games and streaming UHD videos over a home network as it features a Gigabit Ethernet port. It is also equipped with two USB 3.0 ports that offer superfast data transfer speeds. Moreover, the laptop lists a Super Multi DVD drive with dual layer support for fast reading/writing disk.

Core i7 Processor

As I mentioned in the introduction, the Core i7 processor, which makes it hard task master clocks at a decent speed of 2.4 GHz. Assuredly this is one of a few laptop models available offers Intel Core i7 processor power in spite of being in the 60000 rupees price bracket. This laptop is so powerful that you can flawlessly edit videos, render graphics and develop software with much hassle. I would highly recommend this machine for professional usages.

The preinstalled 8 GB of RAM will be enough for all your needs, but there is always an option to upgrade it up to 16 GB. For gaming and graphic designing needs, the manufacturer has equipped this laptop with NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU.

Disappointing Build Quality

The reason I recommend Acer laptops only to power hungry professionals (not to general users) is because this brand makes really cheap outer shells. You will find no sign of metal on the body of this laptop. Moreover, the paint of the edges of palm rest will erode away over time, ultimately making the laptop look really ugly. Even the keypad does not come equipped with backlighting system. Also, the design of the Trackpad is not so user-friendly sometimes it senses a tap even when you are typing on the keypad.

HD Display

It is really a big bummer that this laptop comes with only an HD display even when the MRP is premium. There are some alternatives available in the market that comes with full HD LED display.

Decent Battery Life

Acer makes some of the best batteries out there and the laptop that we are discussing here features a 4-cell battery. You can easily expect more than five hours of power backup on this device.Acer E5 573g Review and Specifications

Pros:

  • Powerful Core i7 5500U processor coupled with 8 GB of RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU
  • Gigabit Ethernet port
  • Optical drive with dual layer support
  • Good battery life

Cons:

  • HD display
  • Bad build quality

Verdict

Certainly, there is room for improvements. However, I still think that other brands have a lot to learn from Acer on how to offer good laptops even at mid-range prices.

HP Pavilion 15-AB219TX

In recent years, American giant HP has worked hard to rebuild its product line. Now it produces better machine, which are durable, stylish and top performer in spite of low price tag.

Brand HP is also popular in high price segment with a long catalog of ultra powerful machines. The device we are going to discuss here keeps up to HP trust and reputation. The HP Pavilion 15-AB219TX comes with cool features at a price of 52093 rupees.

Fast Processor

This laptop houses Intel’s Crore i5 5200U 5th Generation processor that clocks at a respectable 2.2 GHz. You will be able to edit light movies on this device without any glitch. The NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU comes with 2GB of DDR3L memory and offers impressive gaming performance. Moreover, the 8GB of RAM is enough to handle intensive software.HP Pavilion 15 AB219TX Review and Specifications

Good Connectivity Options

The device comes equipped with all the connectivity features that you will expect at this price. Full-size HDMI and an RJ45 port will surely expand your options. Moreover, HP has also provided two USB 3.0 and a single USB 2.0 ports on this laptop.

Surprisingly, this laptop sports a Super Multi DVD burner that supports a wide range of optical disks.

Decent Audio Production

The two B & O Play speakers of this laptop are good at producing quality audio. This results in immersive movie watching and gaming experience. Another good thing is that the device features a Dual Array Digital Microphone.

Windows 10 Preinstalled

Windows 10 is the latest installment in the popular OS lineup offered by Microsoft and the great thing is it comes preinstalled on this HP laptop. The interface of this operating system is ultra-modern, which will give you a highly professional feel. In addition, Windows 10 is quite fast than all earlier generation Windows OS.

Solid Design

Since it is not an Ultra book, the design might disappoint the user a bit. However, I can assure you that HP has used highly durable materials in the outer shell of this laptop. Backlit keypad makes it easy to type in dark situations. The hinges are quite strong and firmly hold the display.

Low-Resolution Display

If you want high pixel resolution to review even micro details on the screen, then this laptop would be a bad choice. The 15.6-inch display that it features has only an HD resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels, which is quite low considering the price point.HP Pavilion 15 AB219TX Price Online in India

Lenovo Z51-70

Lenovo has been doing really great in the laptop market from the last couple of years. It’s Ultra book and convertible series laptops are widely appreciated by professionals and general users. And, now the brand is also trying to penetrate the casual laptop market. The Lenovo Z51-70 laptop that comes at the price of 57700 offers both appealing design and a performing motherboard inside.

Full HD Display Panel

One of the first specs that attract customer on this laptop is the 15.6-inch full HD display panel. In reality, pixel density is good and graphics appears razor sharp on the screen. However, I would advise you to think twice before purchasing this laptop. Its viewing angles are disgusting as Lenovo has used a TN panel. Moreover, the color gamut is not much wide that makes the whole experience painful.

Stunning Audio Quality

If you feel like you were born for music, then this laptop will be a great companion. It sports two 2.5 Watt JBL speakers, which are equipped with Dolby DS 1.0 Home Theatre technology. The audio that comes out cannot be described in words. The lower front position of the speakers further makes the user experience more immersive.

AMD Radeon R9 M375X

The variant that I have tested features AMD Radeon R9 M375X GPU that comes with 2GB of DDR3 memory. It offers enough graphic processing power that you will be able to run some high-intensity games with ease on this laptop. Even the recently launched GTA V can also be played with this GPU but at medium settings. One thing that every customer should note is that the performance of GPU depends on the processing power and not on the graphics memory. This is the reason some GPUs with less graphics memory perform great than those with more graphics memory.Lenovo Z51 70 Review Specifications Price Online in India

Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM

A lot of mid-range laptops are coming with Core i5 5200 5th Gen processor these days. And, this Lenovo device is no different. However, this laptop gets an upper hand with 8GB RAM inside that offers ample amount of memory for all the processes to run smoothly. This Lenovo laptop is good for medium level graphic editing and software developing.

When comes to media storage, I do not like the fact that Lenovo has ordered 1TB SATA hard disk on this laptop. In my opinion, this much storage on a laptop never gets used by the user. Instead, the manufacturer should have put a hybrid drive with at least 500 GB of SSD on this device.

Pros:

  • Can run intensive games but at medium graphic settings
  • Good design
  • Two USB 3.0 ports
  • Great sound quality
  • 8 GB of RAM

Cons:

  • TN panel

Verdict

The Lenovo Z51-70 is a decent mid-range laptop and offers exceptional features. If you are okay with the display panel, then it can be a great option in 60000 rupees price bracket.
