2GB RAM Intex Smartphones Below 9000 Rupees

Indian consumer entertainment and communication gadgets maker Intex owns number one spot in the unique category of smartphone with 2GB RAM. In fact, it is miles ahead than Micromax, Karbonn, Lava and XOLO. With 16 unique launches below 10000 rupees, Intex gets leadership position in the 2GB RAM mobile phone segment.

Interestingly, Micromax has launched only four devices with 2GB RAM below 10000 rupees from its 12 launches in this segment in last two years. Karbonn launches 5, XOLO gets credit for 7 launches and lava introduced 5 smartphones with 2GB RAM.

According to statics, it is very clear that Intex is desperately trying to target the unique segment of 2GB RAM phones. However, Intex, which does excellent at design front nowadays, forgets the basic fact that a Smartphone requires powerful battery to make most out of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Intex Cloud N12

Global economy might be receding, but smartphone market is not. Every month a number of new phones are launched with better specs and better price. The competition among smartphone brands is so high that they are forced to lower the margin of profit. This might be bad for manufacturers, but not for the customers. In the month of June, this year, Intex launched its Cloud N12 smartphone that offers extra-ordinary specs at the price of only 6275 rupees. I was too stunned when one of my friends told me about this phone.

In The Box: Smartphone, Battery, USB cable, Wall adapter, Earphone, User guide and warranty card

Build and Design: The Intex Cloud N12 does feature great specs, but its design is not that appreciable. It comes in a plastic body that feels really cheap in the hand. Also, the wide bezels annoy a lot while playing games and watching videos. The one thing that I can appreciate here is its chrome finished edges, which give some level of premium feel to this device.

Display: Although this smartphone flaunts a small 4.5 inch display but the good thing is you can easily reach all the corners of the screen with a single hand. Small size of display also helps this phone in getting a decent pixel density of 245ppi even when the screen resolution is limited to 540 X 960 pixels only. The smartphone is powered by an IPS panel so you can expect great viewing angles and high contrast ratio.Intex Cloud N12 Review Specifications and Price Online In India

Operating System: The Intex Cloud N12 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with some minor customizations. Some icons and color schemes are different from the stock ROM.

Camera Processor and Gaming Features of this Intex Smartphone

The 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM result in blazing fast user experience. You will hardly notice any kind of frame drops or stuttering while browsing through the menu. Moreover, the display processing of this phone is handled by Mali-400 GPU, which performs really great. The 16 GB of onboard storage seems to be enough for the regular need. Those like to store movies and heavy games on this phone should consider additional storage, which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card.

Gaming: I will not say that the Intex Cloud N12 is a great smartphone for budget gamers because it is not. This phone can run games like Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3 and NOVA 3, but only in low settings.

Camera: It is an extra-ordinary fact in itself that this smartphone features an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter. The quality of the images taken from both cameras is really stunning. All the details are captured without any distortion of colors. Extra features like Live Photo Mode, Panorama Mode and Gesture Capture help a lot in improving the user experience.

Connectivity and Sensors of Intex N12 Budget Smartphone

This phone lacks 4G connectivity, but we cannot criticize it for that considering its price point. The good thing is you can insert two SIM cards in this phone and one of which can be used on 3G networks.

The Intex Cloud N12 is also equipped with the needed sensors like Accelerometer, Light Sensor and Proximity Sensor.

Battery: The battery department of this phone is the most disappointing of all. You will not be able to get a full day of power backup with its 1700 mAh battery. It would be a clever decision to always carry the charger in your bag.

  • Decent display quality
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Quad-core processor
  • Dual SIM
  • 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera

  • Low capacity battery
  • Lacks 4G LTE

Verdict: For all the smartphone lovers restricted by their low budget, this phone is the best option available in the market at the moment.

Intex Aqua Speed HD

One good thing about the Micromax is when it copies a concept or design element ensures some new addendum in order to make the concept originally developed. However, Intex believes in 100% copy paste job that reflects in its new device powered by a quad core processor and 2GB RAM.

Sony’s Replica: The Aqua Speed HD wears Sony’s premium design line has rounded edges and corners. This phone is certainly a good choice for those wants to Sony design on a pocket friendly payment. Intex knows Indian madness for gold or anything that resembles in gold. That is why, all the new releases by Intex is available in Champagne colour more rightly white-gold colour.

3G Connectivity : The Intex Speed HD lists the regular connectivity options from 1G to 3G. For data syncing from computer or a smart device, it has USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. User can access to local area network or connect to a TV has enabled Wi-Fi connectivity. GPS with assistance is also present to help user in lost area.

Speed Processor of Intex Smartphone

With a powerful CPU architecture, User gets zero delay, zero lag or zero crash for multitasking, gaming and multimedia playback on this phone. In fact, the device does fairly well against harsh usages and HD action games. I trust MediaTek quad core processor that is joined by 2GB RAM and Mali MP4 GPU for processing on user’s comfort.

Since it has a processor with high scoring credential and sufficient RAM, gamer would be delighted while playing top line games in medium, more efficiently in low graphic setting. Gaming disgrace in high graphic mode is not because of the CPU architecture rather delayed refresh rate in the display translates into frame drop. In simple language, the IPS LCD panel is not designed to deliver frame creation modification and clearance in supersonic speed.

The frame drop issue arise, despite Intex has blessed the device with 4.7 inches screen has an IPS LCD panel in HD resolution. A pixel density of 312 PPI is excellent for multimedia enhancement. However, powerful crystal clear display seems a cruel joke since the battery is at its lowest of 1700 mAh.

Battery Features of this Intex Budget Smartphone

How thin a phone construction would be is determined by thickness of the battery and the outer shell. The most stupid thing Intex does to reduce the device weight is to compromise on battery size. Most of Intex devices sport slim lightweight profile has poor battery life. Trust me, it is absurd notion to compromise battery life in order to make a phone slimmest.

  1. Sony Phone looking design
  2. Once again the best memory management
  3. Quad core MediaTek processor with 2GB RAM functions sustain harshest user’s need
  4. Smart Gesture support
  5. Excellent HD display
  6. Available in Gold colour option
  7. Only 120 gram gross weight

  1. In spite of FHD recording, both cameras do not deserve praise.
  2. Extremely poor battery life

Intex Aqua Speed HD Review and Specifications

Verdict: For a price of 6870 rupees, this phone is a bad choice. Although it features are according to current market standard but 1700 mAh battery is just too bad. Octa core processor and HD display Kills battery in just 12 to 15 hours of usages. If you can replace the battery to a 3000 mAh cell, then certainly the Intex Aqua Speed HD is the best choice one can wish for.

Intex Aqua 4G Plug

LTE 4G has become one of the necessary features that you would definitely want your phone, even though Public 4G is still to be rolled out in many regions of our country. Considering this demands, Intex launched its first 4G smartphone, the Aqua 4G+, a few months back. The smartphone is currently selling at the price of 9490 rupees, which does not qualify as a great deal. However, on demand of our readers, we decided to review this phone.

In The Box: Smartphone, Earphone, Screen protector, Translucent back cover, Wall adapter, USB cable, User guide and warranty card

Build and Design: The Intex Aqua 4G+ features an eye-catching design, which seems to be borrowed from other smartphones like Moto Gand iPhone 5s. The materials used in the body are of high quality and also give a comfortable feel in the hand. Its back panel is removable, but the battery is not. The top right position of the power key is really hard to reach and will be annoying to the users.Intex Aqua 4G Plus Review and Specifications

Display: Even though the 5inch display of this phone is equipped with IPS LCD technology but its viewing angles are not that great. You can easily see distortion in colors and brightness from steep angles, which makes the whole experience undesirable. The high pixel density of 294ppi renders everything razor sharp on the display. Also, the colors are reproduced accurately. The Intex Aqua 4G+ features a layer of Dragon-trail glass that makes the display resistant to scratches.

Operating System and Specifications of this Intex 4G Smartphone

Android 5.0 Lollipop promises a fluent and snappy user experience throughout the menu. Only the icons have been customized because of which you get the pure Android feel on this smartphone. The Intex Aqua 4G+ does come with a lot of bloatware, but the good thing is you can always uninstall the not needed apps.

CPU: Although this smartphone flaunts 2GB of RAM but that will remain useless as the processor is just clocked at 1.3 GHz. In my opinion, 1GB of RAM would have offered the same level of performance. The internal storage is limited to 16GB, but the users can set micro SD card as the default write disk for app data.

Benchmarks and Gaming: I was unsure of the performance of this phone before using it because of the MediaTek chipset. However, after actually running the benchmarking tests, I have become a fan of this phone. AnTuTu score of 28173 and Neenamark2 score of 55.1 will give you an idea of how well this phone manages its processor, RAM and GPU.

The Intex Aqua 4G+ can handle almost any game available on the play store. Games like NOVA 3 and Asphalt 8 run without a single frame drop. However, you might notice some problem while playing intensive games at the highest setting available.

Camera and Connectivity Features of this Budget 4G Smartphone

Both rear 13 MP and front 5MP shooters of this phone are capable of capturing stunning images. But you will have to struggle a little bit to focus the subject. The camera interface is also equipped with various utility modes like Zero Shutter Lag, Picture In Picture, Video In Video and Gesture Shot. One can record full HD videos on this phone and Slow Motion videos are also supported.

Connectivity and Sensors: The Intex Aqua 4G+ is a dual SIM phone, but you will only be able to enjoy 4G and 3G speeds on the first SIM. All the needed connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB (with OTG support) are on-board. This phone also comes with the sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity Sensors and Light Sensor except Gyroscope.

Battery: This smartphone does pack a decent 2300 mAh battery, but is definitely not an attraction. I personally believe that a phone with 5inch display and a high pixel density should at least have a battery with capacity of 2500 mAh or more.

  • High pixel density
  • Great build quality
  • 4G LTE
  • Android Lollipop
  • 2GB RAM
  • Down-firing speakers
  • Decent camera

  • Viewing angels are not great
  • Battery capacity is less than expected

Verdict: The Intex Aqua 4G+ is a great phone that packs a great number of attractive specs. However, its price is too high for the specs that you will get. The market is full of smartphones that offer a lot more in the same price range.
