After the successful takeover of the Nokia mobility, Microsoft has announced three smartphones straight from the Microsoft Lab. All these three smartphone represents Microsoft depth in smartphone engineering. With these three smartphones launches Microsoft has been successful in adding new dimension to the Lumia line-up. In this quick review article, we will analyze the Lumia 830, Lumia 735 and Lumia 735 Dual SIM.
Microsoft Lumia 830
With a 8.5 MM thickness and 150g weight, the Lumia 830 is “the lightest and thinnest Lumia” ever. The parent company Microsoft is marketing it as the best Lumia from the joint effort of the Nokia Lumia team and the Microsoft Mobile Lab. According to media reports, the smartphone is expected to hit the Indian market with a price tag of 24,999/-.
The Lumia 830 runs on the latest Windows Blue 8.1 Operating system and has ability to follow the future upgrade in the OS. It has a 5 inches HD IPS display with 16 million colours and 296 ppi pixel density. The display is protected by the latest corning gorilla glass 3, features “Double Tap to Wake-up” option.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz alongside 1GB RAM and a 3.8 V 2200 mAh battery. With a 16 GB user memory inbuilt, the Lumia 830 is most affordable flash ship smartphone, as claimed by the Microsoft.
While the Nokia Camera is on board, the 830 is crafted with a 10 MP Pure View visual recorder along with LED flash and 4X digital ZOOM. For camera enhancement it features the Carl Zeiss optics and home made optical image stabilizer. The single SIM Lumia 735 has vivid screen and better pixel density than the Lumia 830. It has a 4.7 inches IPS HD display with the resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels and depth of the pixel is 316. The super sensitive touch-screen is protected by the corning gorilla 3, making it durable against dust and scratch. The Display features OLED and Nokia’s ClearBlack , which are the latest in the display technology. The OLED is the enhance version of LED display technology.
Alike the Lumia 830, It packs in a quad core snapdragon 400 processor, and 1 GB RAM as well as 8 GB user memory. It is powered by a 2220 mAh battery, which can keep it alive for 25 days on the 2G network. Windows phone have always been criticized for their low end specs, which never match the price. However, Microsoft did something extraordinary with the launch of the Lumia 730 in September of 2014. This phone comes with a great number of upgrades over its predecessor, the Lumia 720. There is something more to tell about the Lumia 730. It was the last phone to be launched under ‘Nokia’ branding since Microsoft acquired this Finnish mobile phone maker. Currently, this phone is available for the price of 12,499 INR on Flipkart.com.
The Nokia Lumia 730 comes with a really attractive design. Its back panel is made of plastic, but gives a soft and premium feedback. The back panel is removable and its unique wrap around design gives a unibody feel.
This phone boasts a 4.7 inch OLED display. Its HD resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels translates into a high pixel density of 318 ppi. Thanks to the Organic LED panel that produces true black colors. Contrast ratio and viewing angels are great. You will not find any sort of problem on the display of this phone. Moreover, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 provides it protection from scratches resulting from daily use.
It is a selfie focused smartphone that boasts a 6.7 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP camera on the front. The Lumia 730 comes with two camera apps. The default camera app does not provide much capability, but it is good for newbies. The Lumia camera app, however, provides a much powerful interface that includes option to manually set the focus point, shutter speed and ISO. Picture quality of both the rear and front cameras is decent considering the price point.
Performance (Storage, Benchmarks and Everyday Usage)

A quad-core 1.2 GHz processor (Snapdragon 400 chipset) might be normal for an Android phone at this price, but when it comes to Windows devices, it is truly an exception. Additionally, there is an Adreno 305 GPU for handling the graphic intensive tasks.
This phone performs average on the benchmarking front. In AnTuTu it gets a score of 11999. WP Bench gives this phone a decent score of 231.71.
You will not find any lags or stutters on everyday usage. All the apps open pretty fast and run smoothly.
This Windows smartphone leaves behind many Android smartphones on the connectivity front. It comes with dual SIM slots and also supports 3G networks. The main attraction here would be its NFC capability. All other basic connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB are present on this phone.
There are four sensors on this phone including Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Magnetometer and Ambient Light Sensor.

The navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen is disappeared whenever you open any app. There are bunch of apps that come preloaded on this phone. These apps can create problem for some, but for many they will prove to be of much utility.
