Mobile Phones in Golden Design in 1000 to 3000 Rupees

Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q Review and Specifications

The trend of the mobile phone in golden design is finding a way even in low budget segment. Many low budget devices are coming in market with a better attractive design. This is what I had argued in one of my recent articles that when there is not much to do, the only thing manufacturer has left to use is attractive designs on their products to lure customers.

In this article, I present some newly launched mobile phones in golden (Champagne) design specifically from low budget segment.

Lava Spark Vibe

Although Slowly but Lava is getting a reputable position in feature phone segment which has been a free space after Nokia wind up its mobile phone business. But now Lava, by launching some brilliantly made phones, is moving to conquer this segment from Chinese manufacturers.

The Spark Vibe is one more attempt by Lava to please those who want a stylish mobile phone as attractive as some best-selling smartphones and Apple iPhone are. And, by looking at this phone, it appears though Lava has been successful in its effort.

Looks Design and Features

The phone comes with most of the regular features. It sports a 2.8-inch screen, which is, by the way, one of the reasons why I got it listed here. A big screen means lots of convenience to users in message typing and navigating within the phone menus. In fact, Majority of users will agree “bigger is better”.

Of course, it is a dual SIM device. To access internet, it has a WAP browser and GPRS feature that could easily connect with any 2G-network. In camera management, this device has a poor approach as it only features 0.3MP single camera. There is no front-facing camera for selfie.

To store songs and videos, Lava Vibe requires a microSD card in 16GB storage capacity. It can support, however, up to 32GB of external memory but that could produce lag. Therefore, to have a smoothly working device use a card not more than the size of 16GB.

In terms of connectivity, it lacks Wi-Fi but has the latest Bluetooth besides SIM one and SIM two for fetching out network support at 900 and 1800 MHz network frequencies.

For multimedia experience, Lava loaded this phone with some most demanded features. FM with recording is one of the features I always wish for. Loudspeaker is present and is capable of producing pleasing sounds. MP3 audio, and MP4, AVI, & 3GP video files, too, are supported by this phone.

When comes to convenience, one cannot miss LED torch, an important requirement indeed, and auto call recording, a feature must have in any phone – are also present on this Lava phone. But not having call blocker is something needs your attention. In fact, the call blocker feature on my phone is one of the top five most used features in my day-to-day use. Having contact number at various places becomes easier for scammers to target anyone.

For entertainment, not only audio & video player, even there are some preloaded games on this Lava phone. Therefore, trusting it as a master-in-class device won’t be wrong.

Further, it also features some storage for 1000 contacts and 300 SMS. And, there are some regular features like calculator, stopwatch, calendar, and alarm.

Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q

After a feature phone, now let us have a look at a good quality smartphone that too comes in golden design. Yes, I am taking about an Intex phone that has been getting some mixed response from users. At the price of 3000 Rupees, the Aqua 3G Pro Q features 3G network support and 512MB RAM.

Build Design and Other Features

1300 mAh battery of this phone is up for quite a disappointing backup. In fact, while trying to use for frequent calls, users may have to charge it two times a day. This is something cannot be appreciated. But a good solution of this is to keep a power bank with you. For such diluted battery backup can Intex be really blamed? Actually, other qualities of this phone are appreciable.

The build quality of this device appears to be impressive. Then the camera, however, bad in performance, but can record HD videos. While most low budget smartphones, those priced around 3000 rupees, do not even cross 1.3MP in their camera sensor size, then Intex has gone for a camera which can record HD videos. This effort has to be appreciated. And, the camera is backed by LED flash and digital zoom for better photography as well.

One area, where this Intex device has really impressed me is its performance. Its performance largely depends on a quad-core processor and 512MB RAM. And, noted Mali-400 MP2 graphic is also present to make multimedia experience a lot smoother.

When LeTV could stretch screen-to-body ratio up to 74% then just 53% of screen-to-body ratio on this phone should be termed sub-standard. It should have been at least 65%. Nevertheless, the 4-inch screen of this Intex champ will impress you. This is a TFT panel and has a decent pixel density of 233PPI and color & graphics appears clear as well. I thing, considering the battery size, Intex should have smartly degraded pixel density between 180 to 195 PPI. That would have certainly helped the phone to stay alive a much longer time than what it could do now.

Free accessories are good for both brand and customers. Why big brands, however, refrain in giving free accessories cannot be understood. Intex is giving protection cover and screen guard beside the regular stuff like headset and charger in sales box.

Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q is powered by Android’s latest version Lollipop. And, it also has some cool smart features like double-tap-to-wakeup. Once you have got the habit of this then you will always prefer to use it to active screen from a standby mode. Additionally, the flip-to-mute feature is supported by it. In my view, never buy a smartphone without LED indicator. This Intex champ has a LED indicator.
